My roleProject Manager
I managed the relationship between the client and the cross-functional delivery team from requirements through acceptance.
The idea was deeply human. Delivering it still required clear product decisions, coordinated teams, quality controls and a client who remained close to the work.
The brief
01
Love Notes Around the World is a volunteer-led platform created to spread hope, encouragement and emotional support.
The delivery challenge
02
People facing cancer and other serious life challenges can experience isolation, fear and uncertainty. Many others want to support them but may not know what to say or whether their message will be appropriate.
The product needed to guide senders, protect recipients and make a sensitive exchange feel simple across web and mobile. It had to preserve warmth without becoming vague and introduce safeguards without making compassion feel clinical.
My delivery scope
03
Reviewed the client’s documentation, goals and requirements
Translated the need into user stories and delivery priorities
Planned and facilitated project kick-off
Coordinated design, development and QA
Ran stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
Tracked decisions, risks and dependencies
What I led
From intent to delivery.
The decisions and delivery moves that kept the work useful, aligned and accountable.
01
Protected the purpose while clarifying the product
I kept the emotional purpose visible while turning it into concrete product behaviour: who could request a note, what formats could be used, how messages would be reviewed and what an appropriate recipient experience looked like.
02
Turned sensitivity into clear requirements
Words such as safe, uplifting and meaningful matter, but a delivery team still needs practical definitions. I translated those expectations into user stories, acceptance criteria and review points.
03
Kept the client close to the build
Regular communication and product reviews helped decisions and feedback arrive while the team could still act on them.
04
Coordinated the route to acceptance
I stayed close from kick-off through development, QA, client review and UAT. The final stages remained part of delivery, not an administrative afterthought.

The lasting point
The product was built around emotion. The delivery still needed precision.
This was technology in service of a deeply human need. I am proud that I helped protect that purpose while giving the team the clarity required to build it.
